Aryani Sari Rahmanti (Sari) is a practicing urban designer and researcher currently based in Indonesia. Originally from Indonesia, she moved to Belgium in 2008 to pursue master's degrees in Human Settlements and in Urbanism and Strategic Planning at KU Leuven. Throughout and prior to her studies, she was involved in major projects and research across diverse contexts, including Vietnam, France, Belgium, and Indonesia. She recently relocated from Belgium to Indonesia, to reconnect with her roots and be closer to her family. She seeks to enhance public space and advocate for the integration of open space and landscape considerations in multi-scalar development — from rural villages to rapidly transforming urban regions in Indonesia.

For each assignment, she conducts thorough and broad investigation, research and/ or design output in regard to the focus and aim of the assignments. From regeneration of brownfield areas into livable residential area and communal facilities, village cores livability revaluation, masterplan feasibility studies, restructuring of landscape and public spaces, her scope of work involves spatial research, cartographical mapping, masterplan design and feasibility studies, and landscape and public space conceptual design. Through her works, Sari has the ambition to give positive impact and significant amelioration not only the spatial quality itself but also the social and environmental values.
